Camco has worked with hundreds of public and private sector clients to help them build a whole-organisation approach to energy efficient operation.
For most organisations, carbon emissions result from energy consumption. Improved energy efficiency is therefore an essential component in any carbon reduction programme, whether voluntary or mandatory (i.e. required by regulation). As reduced energy consumption also lowers operating costs, an organisation-wide approach to energy efficiency aligns with the continuous improvement culture adopted by many forward-thinking businesses.
At a practical level, our technical experts carry out energy audits of buildings of all types and sizes, as well as industrial sites. We identify and develop energy-saving business cases for heating, cooling and lighting, and industrial processes in the food, drinks, steel and construction materials sectors. We provide energy design and master planning advice to architects and property developers and, through our
Carbon Desktop™ software, offer a secure multi-functional energy and carbon monitoring and targeting service.
We also help build the capacity to manage energy and carbon over the long term. This includes working with senior management to:
- Develop energy and carbon management strategy and policy
- Ensure procedures relating to things like procurement, operating practices, supplier selection, and staff incentives support rather than hinder energy efficient operation
- Work with personnel at all levels to ensure that they have the necessary accountabilities, incentives, resources and information to deliver improved energy performance.
